Terms and Conditions

MONTHLY CONTRACT BETWEEN ANYTIME STORAGE LTD AND CUSTOMER


You must read these Terms and Conditions carefully. By signing up, making payment and moving your contents into Anytime Storage, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1. FACILITY OWNER DETAILS
1.1 Facility Owner: Anytime Storage Ltd

1.4 You must notify Anytime Storage immediately of any change to your address, telephone number or email address.
2. KEY POINTS
2.1 This is a monthly recurring contract which continues until terminated in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
2.2 You must provide at least one (1) calendar month's written notice to terminate this Agreement.
2.3 You confirm that you own the Goods or are authorised to store them.
2.4 Storage Fees must be paid in advance and on time.
2.5 If you fail to comply with these Terms and Conditions, Anytime Storage may suspend access, exercise a lien over your Goods and sell or dispose of Goods to recover outstanding sums.
2.6 You are responsible for securing your Unit.
2.7 You must not store prohibited Goods.
2.8 Subject to any applicable StoreProtect arrangement, Anytime Storage's liability for loss of or damage to Goods shall not exceed £100.
2.9 Goods are stored entirely at your sole risk.
2.10 Customers may purchase StoreProtect through Anytime Storage or make their own arrangements for protection of Goods.
2.11 Where StoreProtect is selected, the StoreProtect Terms and Conditions, StoreProtect Addendum and Special Importance Conditions apply and form part of this Agreement.
2.12 Customers using the Key Holding Service agree to be bound by the Key Holding Agreement available on the Anytime Storage website.
2.13 CCTV, alarms, access control systems, lighting, patrols and other security measures are provided as deterrents only and do not constitute a guarantee against theft, loss or damage.
2.14 Late Payment Fee: £20 plus VAT per failed, cancelled, reversed or overdue payment.
2.15 Lost Padlock Key: £30 plus VAT.
2.16 Replacement Padlock: £50 plus VAT.
2.17 Callout Charge: £50 plus VAT.
2.18 Fly-Tipping / Waste Removal Charge: £200 plus VAT per incident plus any additional disposal costs incurred.
2.19 Locksmith, contractor and lock replacement costs may also be charged where incurred.
3. STORAGE
3.1 Provided all fees are paid when due, you are permitted to store Goods only within the Unit allocated by Anytime Storage.
3.2 You are deemed to have full knowledge of the contents of the Unit.
3.3 You warrant that you own the Goods or are authorised to store them.
3.4 Anytime Storage does not have knowledge of the Goods and does not take possession of them.
3.5 Anytime Storage is not a bailee, custodian or warehouseman of the Goods.
3.6 This Agreement does not create a lease, tenancy, right of occupation, exclusive possession or any proprietary interest in land.
3.7 Unit sizes are approximate and may vary slightly.
3.8 Anytime Storage may relocate you to another Unit of equivalent or greater size where reasonably required for operational, maintenance, safety or security reasons.
4. COSTS
4.1 You shall pay all Storage Fees in advance.
4.2 You shall pay any StoreProtect charges where selected.
4.3 You shall pay any Cleaning Fee where applicable, subject to a minimum charge of £75.
4.4 You shall pay all reasonable legal, debt recovery, enforcement and collection costs incurred by Anytime Storage.
4.5 You shall pay all applicable VAT, taxes and government charges.
4.6 Interest may be charged on overdue sums at 4% above the Bank of England base rate.
4.7 If any payment is declined, cancelled, reversed, recalled, returned unpaid or otherwise fails for any reason, Anytime Storage may charge a Late Payment Fee of £20 plus VAT on each occasion.
4.8 If any Storage Fee remains unpaid after the Due Date, Anytime Storage may suspend access to the Unit and Facility without further notice.
4.9 Storage Fees shall continue to accrue during any period of suspension for non-payment.
4.10 The Customer shall remain liable for all Storage Fees, Late Payment Fees, interest, legal costs, debt recovery costs, locksmith charges, contractor costs and any other sums due under this Agreement.
5. DEFAULT, LIEN AND SALE OF GOODS
5.1 If any Storage Fee or other sum remains unpaid, Anytime Storage may immediately suspend access to the Unit.
5.2 Anytime Storage may overlock the Unit.
5.3 Anytime Storage may enter the Unit and relocate Goods.
5.4 Anytime Storage shall have a general and particular lien over all Goods stored.
5.5 Anytime Storage may sell, dispose of or otherwise realise the value of Goods to recover outstanding sums and associated costs.
5.6 Any surplus proceeds shall be returned to the Customer where reasonably possible.
5.7 The Customer remains liable for any shortfall.
6. ACCESS
6.1 Customers may access their Unit during published access hours.
6.2 Anytime Storage may refuse access where sums remain outstanding.
6.3 Anytime Storage may refuse access where safety or security concerns arise.
6.4 Anytime Storage may enter Units in emergencies, for maintenance, legal compliance, inspection or enforcement purposes.
6.5 Access codes remain the property of Anytime Storage and may be changed at any time.
6.6 Access codes must not be shared with unauthorised persons.
6.7 The Customer is responsible for all persons accessing the Facility using their access code.
7. CONDITIONS OF USE
7.1 You must keep the Unit locked and secure.
7.2 You must maintain the Unit in a clean condition.
7.3 You must not use the Unit for residential accommodation.
7.4 You must not use the Unit as offices, workshops or business premises.
7.5 You must not obstruct access roads, gates or common areas.
7.6 You must not damage the Facility.
7.7 You must comply with all reasonable instructions issued by Anytime Storage.
7.8 Contractors, movers and delivery companies attending the Facility do so at your risk and you remain responsible for their actions.
7.9 You must not leave rubbish, unwanted items, packaging, pallets, furniture, waste materials or any other property anywhere on the Facility other than within your Unit.
7.10 Any items left in common areas, roadways, parking areas, bin stores, around containers or elsewhere within the Facility may be treated as fly-tipped waste or abandoned property.
7.11 Anytime Storage may charge a Fly-Tipping and Waste Removal Fee of £200 plus VAT for each incident together with any additional disposal, contractor, cleaning, environmental or administrative costs incurred.
7.12 Anytime Storage reserves the right to dispose of such items without notice.
8. PROHIBITED GOODS
You must not store:
8.1 Illegal, stolen or counterfeit goods.
8.2 Firearms, ammunition or weapons.
8.3 Explosives or fireworks.
8.4 Petrol, diesel, fuels or flammable liquids.
8.5 Gas cylinders or compressed gases.
8.6 Hazardous chemicals.
8.7 Toxic, radioactive or environmentally harmful substances.
8.8 Living creatures.
8.9 Perishable food likely to attract vermin.
8.10 Waste materials.
8.11 Cash, securities or negotiable instruments.
8.12 Lithium batteries, e-bikes, e-scooters and similar items unless specifically authorised by Anytime Storage.
8.13 Any item likely to cause nuisance, contamination, damage, injury or increased insurance risk.
9. LOCKS, KEYS AND ACCESS
9.1 The Customer is responsible for maintaining and operating any lock fitted to the Unit.
9.2 Where a key is lost, damaged, bent, snapped, broken or otherwise rendered unusable by the Customer, the Customer shall be responsible for all costs incurred in providing access to the Unit.
9.3 Where access requires attendance by Anytime Storage staff, a locksmith, contractor or other third party due to a lost key, broken key, damaged lock or any issue not caused by the negligence of Anytime Storage, the Customer shall pay all associated costs.
9.4 Where a lock, lock shroud or container hardware requires cutting, removal or replacement as a result of a lost key, broken key, damaged lock or customer error, all associated costs shall be payable by the Customer.
10. MOBILE STAIRCASE AND UPPER LEVEL ACCESS
10.1 Customers use any mobile staircase, access platform, landing, walkway or similar equipment entirely at their own risk.
10.2 Before use, Customers must read and comply with all operating instructions, warning notices and safety signs displayed on or near the staircase.
10.3 Customers must ensure that the staircase is correctly positioned and safe before use.
10.4 Customers must exercise reasonable care when ascending, descending and using upper-level access areas.
10.5 Suitable footwear must be worn.
10.6 Additional care must be taken during wet, icy, windy or adverse weather conditions.
10.7 Children must be supervised at all times and must not use the staircase unaccompanied.
10.8 Customers are responsible for all family members, visitors, contractors, employees and agents attending the Facility on their behalf.
10.9 Customers must immediately report any defect, damage or safety concern relating to the staircase or access equipment.
10.10 Anytime Storage accepts no liability for injury, loss or damage arising from the use or misuse of the staircase or upper-level access equipment except where such liability cannot legally be excluded.
11. RISK AND RESPONSIBILITY
11.1 Goods are stored entirely at the Customer's risk.
11.2 Container storage may be affected by changes in temperature, humidity, moisture, condensation, dust, insects and vermin.
11.3 Customers are responsible for appropriately packing and protecting Goods against such conditions.
11.4 Anytime Storage gives no warranty that any Unit is suitable for any particular purpose or type of Goods.
11.5 Anytime Storage excludes liability for loss of profits, business interruption and consequential losses.
11.6 Subject to any applicable StoreProtect arrangement, Anytime Storage's liability for loss of or damage to Goods shall not exceed £100.
11.7 Customers are responsible for ensuring Goods are adequately protected whilst in storage.
11.8 Anytime Storage shall not be liable for losses caused by fire, flood, storm, terrorism, utility failures, industrial action, acts of government or any event beyond its reasonable control.
12. STOREPROTECT
12.1 Where StoreProtect is selected, the Customer agrees to be bound by the StoreProtect Terms and Conditions, StoreProtect Addendum and Special Importance Conditions published on the Anytime Storage website.
13. KEY HOLDING SERVICE
13.1 Where the Customer uses the Key Holding Service, the Customer agrees to be bound by the Key Holding Agreement published on the Anytime Storage website.
14. PERSONAL INFORMATION
14.1 Anytime Storage processes personal information in accordance with UK data protection legislation.
14.2 Information may be shared with StoreProtect providers, insurers, debt recovery agents, fraud prevention agencies, professional advisers and law enforcement authorities where reasonably necessary.
15. NOTICE
15.1 All notices must be in writing.
15.2 Customer notices must be sent via the Customer Portal or to info@anytimestorage.co.uk.
15.3 Notices shall be deemed received one hour after email transmission, immediately upon hand delivery or 48 hours after posting.
16. TERMINATION
16.1 Either party may terminate this Agreement by giving one calendar month's written notice.
16.2 Anytime Storage may terminate immediately for non-payment, illegal activity, prohibited Goods or serious breach of these Terms.
16.3 Upon termination the Customer must remove all Goods and leave the Unit clean and free from rubbish.
16.4 Goods remaining after termination may be treated as abandoned and sold or disposed of.
16.5 Outstanding liabilities survive termination.
17. GENERAL
17.1 Anytime Storage may amend fees or these Terms upon giving at least 28 days' written notice.
17.2 Customers may terminate before changes take effect.
17.3 This document constitutes the entire agreement between the parties.
17.4 Customers may not assign or transfer their rights.
17.5 If any provision is held invalid, the remainder shall remain enforceable.
17.6 Anytime Storage may photograph, video record or otherwise document any Unit, Goods, damage, waste, breach of these Terms, enforcement action, abandoned property or disposal process for evidential, operational, legal or debt recovery purposes.
17.7 Vehicles entering or remaining at the Facility do so entirely at the owner's risk.
17.8 This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.
17.9 The Courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
ACCEPTANCE
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY. BY ACCEPTING THEM YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THEM.

I/we acknowledge that the Key Points have been brought to my/our attention.
I/we agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
